'NUKKAD NATAK: Showcasing KALA ANGAAN - An Inclusive & Equitable Mobile Application for Local Artisans'

The event is a field workshop in the form of 'Nukkad Natak' that intents to engage local artisans (Pottery, Jewellary, Hand-craft, etc.) of Rajasthan State of India and make them aware of the possibilities and opportunities that can be created for them in the digital world and that will enable them to sell their products directly to customer and generate a sustainable income, regardless of their educational background. This event outlines the key details of the prototype of Kala-Aangan mobile application designed and created by the girl students of School of Design of Mody University on the occasion of World Interaction Day. The 'Kala-Aangan' mobile application intents to be inclusive by providing digital platform in local language and easy to use interfaces to local artisans, to help them sell their products directly to the end-user and eliminate the middle man. On this World Interaction Day, students and teachers at School of Design, MUST are advocating and promoting the cause of local craftsmen and artisans to make them inclusive in digital economy and e-commerce world through their interactive and user-friendly design proposition.
